Boon or bane??
BOON OR BANE THE DECISION IS YOURS
Sorry guys am actually habituated to glance through some
newspapers and the recent stuff that shocked me was again a gang rape case!!! Huhhh...so
tired of reading them all!!!
Every other day the paper is filled with such articles but
the embarrassing part was that the girl was not even 14!!!Imagine this
happening with you when you just entered your teenage, when you are just about
to have the golden and most memorable days of your life..Got goosebumps yeah!
We might not remember how we behaved when we were 10 but we tend never to forget our first teen
birthday.
The next question cropping up was whose fault is it???
The girl’s because she didn’t take care
of herself and accidentally was the victim
OR
The guys’ because the fooled
the girl up and gang raped her
OR
The Indian Judiciary
because it has never taken strict action against the rape criminals
OR
The girl’s family members
because they didn’t know how to take care of her
BUT FOR ME THE THING THAT WAS AT
FAULT WAS THE SOCIAL MEDIA!!!!
I truly agree that the social media has always been a boon
and not a bane but even we need to realize how to use it. Just for the sake of
meeting new people we can’t accept any anon to our account because it does
contain so much details about us knowingly or unknowingly we end up mentioning
every fucking detail about us as to where we are and what we are doing on one
or the other social account of ours!!!
Its a great medium to be in constant touch with the known friends
of ours only if we don’t end up getting addicted!!
Its a great medium to share pictures and stuff but only with
the known people..
Its like a coin which has two sides heads and tails!!
The victim ended up adding someone from Kashmir and had a
spit with her family members just because she wanted to go to Kashmir to meet
that person!!!
I’m not against small kids being acquainted to the new
technology but then the parents should be aware about what to teach them and
what are their kids upto..
Keeping an eye on your child/ren is not bad at all if it
saves you from such great troubles or accidents and your children from the
great trauma!!!
If you are a reader & are someone from 13-19 specially or
even 20+ please do not add unknown on your social account!!! And do tell your
parents about any activity on the social media that disturbs you :)
HERE’S ANOTHER STORY TO TELL YOU CONS OF SOCIAL MEDIA :-
I saw this comment on FB and felt compelled to share it:
A guy sends you a friend request. You don't know him, but
he's got a cute profile picture, so you accept his friend request.
It's your baby girl's first day of school. She looks SO cute
in her new outfit you just have to take a picture and put it on Facebook so all
your friends and family can see.
You're so excited dropping her off that you 'Check in' to
her school on FB saying
'I can't believe how big she's gotten. Time sure flies. One
proud momma/daddy right here'.
Meanwhile, the mystery guy whose friend request you
hurriedly accepted earlier this morning is saving that picture you posted of
your daughter in her cute new outfit to his phone and texting it to 60 other
grown men across the world with the caption -
'Indian Female. Age 5.
Brown Hair. Black Eyes.
Rs. 70,000/-'.
Not only did you provide a picture of your little girl to a
child trafficker, you've handed him the name and exact location of her school
on a silver cyber platter.
You go to pick her up at 3:00 this afternoon, but she's
nowhere to be found.
Little do you know, your precious baby girl was sold to a 43
years old pedophile before you even stepped foot off campus this morning, and
now she's on her way to South Africa with a bag over her head, confused,
terrified and crying because a man she's never seen before picked her up from
school, and now she doesn't know where her parents are, where she's going, or
what's gonna happen to her.
STOP ADDING STRANGERS ON FACEBOOK
